I joined Toastmasters in 2007 to overcome nervousness in public speaking. The club members were wonderful to support me in any roles. They encouraged my trial always positively instead of bringing my weak point. That was fantastic to go forward. Especially, my mentor guided my speech in detail, and corrected my preparation and performance. Mentors help was the key point in my improved status. Although I focused mainly on communication skills, leadership skills were improved accordingly. I feel still nervous when delivering my speech, but the difference before I joined Toastmasters and now is I cared the nervousness before I joined, but dont care it now. The learning curve has been wonderful. Ted Oh CC
